New Game: Pathologic

Posted by Injured-Ninja - December 17th, 2010

Well, we're finally releasing our second game.
On the down side, we can't upload it to Newgrounds because it's too heavy. Despite our efforts to optimize the file, the lowest we managed to get it to weigh is 18 Mb. We did submit it to other sites, though, so you can play it there, until (if at all) our game is approved for Newgrounds.

EDIT: Finally, we released the game on Newgrounds as well!

Demon Room is Out

The release of Demon Room is delayed.
It will probably be released on Wednesday.

I won't be verbose.
We're releasing a new game!
It's called Demon Room. It's a short quest. The graphics are mainly photos and videos, instead of drawn graphics and animation.

The game will be out by tomorrow. Meanwhile, here's a screenshot:

Second Wemag Game Coming Up Tomorrow!

A New Game by WeMaG
The Weird Man Games team, consisting of Ido and I, has recently completed the work on the game "MAD - Meteorites Are Dangerous".
Even though each of us had separately published some works in the past, it's the first project we finish together as a team. The first finished game that carries our logo. It will be released on the 5th of November (tomorrow). Hope you enjoy it!

Website Under Construction
Additionally, we're working on our website and it will be available quite soon (hopefully).
On our site you'll be able to read our latest news, find work-in-progress information and screenshots, and most importantly, play all our games (to be).

I'm so lazy...
I didn't bother posting even when I had the time.
Anyway, here's the news:

Leaving the Army
It's more than 5 months that I'm in the army: 3 months of hard training + 2 months of boring office chores. It's been about two months since I decided to try to leave the army. They don't make my life easy about this, and all the bureaucracy sure doesn't help.

Moving
Me and my mom are moving to the south by the end of the week, and right now we're busy packing the house (I took a leave from the army for the week).

New Game Coming Soon!
Max and I are working on a new game. It's almost finished, but It will probably be complete only next month, because we're both busy lately.
It's a "one-screen & high-score" kind of a game. It's based on a common concept, but hopefully the graphics and effects will make it much more interesting and fun.

That's pretty much it, so FUCK OFF and have a nice day!

Now that I'm a recruit I don't have time to make anything big, so I made this little animation in several minutes today.
Three weeks have passed since my recruit. The training is supposed to take 11 weeks. Tomorrow I'm going back to the base for the rest of the week and then I'll have a long weekend at home (from Wednesday or Thursday to Saturday). I'm getting more free weekends than I expected.
Time is flying faster than I expected too, and although the training is not easy, I feel quite tranquil and confident.
After I finish the training successfully I want to (and am pretty sure I will) get a role in the computer area. Then I might have a little time in evenings to work on some flashes, and after three years, when my military service is over, I will be free and ready to rock the hell out of you guys with awesome games and animations.

Have a wonderful day!

That's it. At March 2nd 2009 I'm recruited to the army.
For three months I will be having martial training, and you won't hear anything from me.
Then for three years I will do some none-fighting job (because I hate violence) and you will hear very little, if at all, from me.
See ya later.

I need to improve my skills in order to be good at what I'm doing.
I code, but I'm never focused, and for a programmer, being unfocused is very bad. I'm trying to migrate from AS2 to AS3 and I'm slow at it. My knowledge in maths is poor, and generally, my scripting skills are not enough to make anything better than DPR.
As an animator, I need to improve my drawing ability, because I may be able to produce a nice 2-seconds-long animation, but currently the time it takes me to animate that, is enough to get me out of my mind.
So here's what I need to do. Brought here is a list of tasks I should complete... sometime. Beh.

+ Migrate to AS3.
+ Learn more about vectors.
+ Draw and animate a lot, even if the product is not a fucking full-length-masterpiece. Just for practice.

Thing is I have two weeks before I'm taken to the army. I don't know what I can achieve within two weeks, and I don't think I'll have much free time when I'm recruited.
I hate wars and I hate armies. But that's what we have almost everywhere on the planet. Fighting, wars, violence and above all, ignorance, which gives all these things a chance to exist. I wish people were more forgiving, understanding, generous, liberal. We don't have to agree on everything, but we must at least agree to disagree, for fuck's sake!
